ROC-NY Works to Ensure Paid Sick Days for ALL Restaurant Workers

 The Restaurant Opportunities Center of New York has been working in conjunction with A Better Balance and a coalition of other non-profits towards passing the Healthy Families Act of 2009. The bill, which will be introduced in late August 2009, will guarantee earned paid sick days for all New Yorkers. On July 29 2009, ROC-NY attended a press conference at City Hall to help rally support for the bill. ROC-NY has been working tirelessly to ensure that the bill includes restaurant workers and applies to small businesses as well as large businesses.
